Dr. Mendoza completed his undergraduate education at Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated with honors with a major in chemistry and a minor in Spanish. After receiving his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, he went on to complete his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in Dallas where he served as Chief of the outpatient Internal Medicine Residency Clinic. Afterwards, he continued at BUMC as a Hospitalist Staff physician and he volunteered his time with the Internal Medicine Residency Program. He then completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and entered private practice with Arthritis and Rheumatology Associates of Palm Beach.
Dr. Mendoza is board certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine but focuses his practice on Rheumatology. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Florida Society of Rheumatology. He is fluent in Spanish.
In addition to general Rheumatology, his clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoporosis, gout, tendonitis, bursitis, and cortisone injections for pain relief.
He enjoys providing quality rheumatology care to his patients in a compassionate and personal manner.
Over the years Dr. Mendoza has volunteered his time providing Rheumatology medical education lectures to trainees including medical students and medical Residents.
Dr. Mendoza is currently accepting new patients at the Palm Beach Gardens and West Palm Beach locations.
