Dr. Maricarmen Quintero was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She received her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine in 1996. After moving to New York, she completed her Medical Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship training at the University of Rochester and SUNY Upstate Medical University (Syracuse). After completing her Fellowship studies in 2005, she moved to Florida and joined Arthritis and Rheumatology Associates of Palm Beach, practicing in Boynton Beach.

Dr. Quintero is board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine, with expertise in the treatment of lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, temporal arteritis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, as well as other rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions. She is member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Florida Society of Rheumatology. She is on staff at JFK Medical Center. Additionally, she volunteers her time in helping to staff the Arthritis Foundation’s clinic for medically indigent patients.

Dr. Quintero speaks both Spanish and English fluently. She believes that a positive physician-patient relationship is beneficial to a successful treatment outcome.
